Composite regime
Scores trend, momentum, volatility and volume regimes into one 5-to-100 explosive-move score.
CompositeRegime takes four regime detectors (volatility, trend, momentum and volume) and passes their codes through as the first four outputs. The fifth output is a points score: up to 40 for a strong trend, up to 30 for accelerating momentum, up to 15 for calm volatility and up to 15 for high volume. Each bar it reads the current codes and returns nothing until all four detectors have a value.
How to read it
- Read score as the main line: near 5 almost no condition is present, near 100 all four are at their strongest.
- Outputs 1 to 4 are the raw codes, each in its own pane, so you can see which condition moved the score.
- A score near 100 needs trend code 3, momentum code 2, volatility code 0 or 1, and volume code 2 or 3 on the same bar. It is a points sum, not a probability.
What it outputs
- Volatility regime
- The volatility code from the first input, passed through: 0 ultra low, 1 low, 2 normal, 3 high, 4 extreme.
- Trend regime
- The trend code from the second input, passed through: 0 ranging, rising to 3 for the strongest trend.
- Momentum regime
- The momentum code from the third input, passed through: 0 flat, 1 building, 2 accelerating.
- Volume regime
- The volume code from the fourth input, passed through: 0 low, 1 normal, 2 high, 3 extreme.
- Composite score
- Points from the four codes, from 5 to 100: up to 40 for trend, 30 for momentum, 15 for calm volatility, 15 for high volume.
Pitfalls
- In the catalog preview the raw close feeds all four inputs, so the codes just echo price and the score sits at a flat 15. Judge the indicator only with real regime detectors wired in.
- The weights are fixed in code and not calibrated: trend counts most, so a strong trend lifts the score even when volume is quiet.
- The docstring names the volatility regime as the fourth output, but the code returns the volume regime there.
